Dozens of Petersburg students register to vote

— Nearly forty Petersburg High School students registered to vote during a recent two-day voter registration drive held at Petersburg High School. The event was a collaboration between the high school and Virginia Organizing.

A total of 38 students, who will be 18-years-old before the November election, registered to vote.

The voter registration drive was held, during lunch sessions and a similar drive was held in 2008 for the presidential election. According to Petersburg Publics, 225 students and staff registered to vote during that drive.
