RICHMOND When most people think of busy intersections in the city that see a lot of traffic accidents, most people probably think about Broad and Belvidere or Boulevard and Broad]. In actuality, two of the most high crash intersections in the city are Belvidere and Leigh streets and Hull and Elkhardt streets.
“These two intersections have several factors at play that cause concern, but we’re hoping that by raising public awareness, we can reduce a lot of the accidents there and throughout the city,” Special Operations Division Lt. Bill Kelly said.
One of the ways the department is doing that is by releasing the Top 10 High Crash Intersections in the city.
